Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered does not have cheat codes. Players on Steam who tried the old button combination from the GameCube version report that the secret cheat menu no longer appears. Instead, the remaster has a Tournament mode setting that makes everything available in Custom Battle.
What happened to the old cheat menu
The original game came out on the Nintendo GameCube in 2002. It had a hidden cheat menu, opened with a shoulder-button combination on the Versus option, where you typed six-digit codes to unlock monsters and cities.
In the remaster, that menu is gone. On the Steam forums, one player wrote that they tried their old GameCube combo and the secret menu did not pop up, and another replied simply that there are no cheat codes. We have not found any official statement from Atari or Pipeworks about cheats either way, and no code for the remaster has appeared in any source we checked.
So codes you find online, such as the ones for unlocking Orga or all cities, are from the 2002 GameCube and Xbox versions. They will not work in the remaster.
Tournament mode: the closest thing to a cheat
Two separate YouTube creators point out a setting called Tournament mode in the game's options. When it is on, everything is available in Custom Battle, without unlocking it first.
It was designed for tournament organisers and for friends who want to jump straight into a match. Kaiju Live TV describes it as unlocking everything for Custom Battle. Whether it also affects Adventure, your saved unlocks or achievements is to be confirmed.
How to use it:
- Open the options or settings menu.
- Turn on Tournament mode.
- Start a Custom Battle and pick any monster and location.
Unlocking everything the normal way
If you want the full roster in your save, you need the G-Force Lab. In short:
- Play Adventure Classic and destroy buildings to collect G-Force coins.
- Finish Rumors to open research projects.
- Fill the active project with Research Points, which you earn twice as fast in Survival.
The full step-by-step route, including a fast Research Point farm with Kiryu, is in our unlock guide.
What about trainers and memory editors?
Some players on the Steam forums suggest PC memory-editing tools. We do not cover them. They are not part of the game, can break saves, and should never be used online.
If your unlocks vanished
That is not a cheat issue. Atari's hotfix on November 4, 2026 fixed a bug where corrupted save data could lock the entire character roster. Update the game first, then check your roster again.
